How to Measure Your Foot

  • Place your feet flat on a piece of paper and mark your longest toe and the back of your foot. It's best to do this standing and wearing socks
  • Measure the length (cm) straight from your longest toe to the back of your foot using a ruler or measuring tape.
  • Use the chart to find your size.

Men's Conquest™ Boot is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 134.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Falling Apart... I've had these boots for a few years. This year the rubber began falling off in several places rendering them unusable. I read reviews on Google and many other people have had the same issue. I contacted Sorel and they said to send them in even though they were out of warranty and they'd either fix them or send me a merchandise credit/refund. I hope they stand by their word. These are expensive boots that I expected to last a lifetime.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from bad news I have a really old pair of Sorel pac boots that are still wearable. I saw the Conquest & thought they were cool looking. I was outside shoveling snow & my left foot felt wet. When I came inside I noticed the rubber had separated from the leather upper. The rubber was falling apart with chunks missing. I have had them for some time, but They were not worn that much or hard. At least I have my old pair of felt lined boots to fall back on.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Men's Conquest Boot Like numerous other reviews...leather and rubber seam (especially in toe area) cracking & separating. Wore them once during an OR 6 inch snowfall, then moved to CA...where they remained in bedroom closet storage. Deteriorated condition not readily noticeable until putting boots on. Totally disappointed in having to shovel 18 inches from sidewalk and driveway in street shoes. Not worth the price for longevity provided. Seems like the number of negative postings would warrant a quality/defect recall or at least consideration in form of a discount coupon.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Expectations fulfilled! I purchased my pair of "Conquest" boots back in the winter of 2014-2015. At that time I was working as a security officer at Kirkwood Mountain Resort, and a good portion of my shift was spent walking across snow from lift to lift in various weather conditions. The built in gaiters kept the snow out of my boot, and the Achilles heel strap provides a nice snug fit. I've put over 100 miles on my pair, and they have held up extremely well. I also use them for snow showing, and the raised Sorrel emblem in the back makes a perfect place for my snowshoe strap to rest when I secure them to my boots. Overall very pleased with them and would by them again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice boot but hard to get on The "gator" top make the boots hard to put on because they don't open very large. It is definitely for flexible users, not for us older folks :0) On a positive side I feel like they will keep the snow out better.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Durability issue for the high $$$ paid The same separation has happen with the boots I have. Where the rubber meets the leather. Also the grommet for connecting gators has broken off. Lastly, the fabric near the draw string has ripped. These boots are only a few years old and have been kept in the origional box when stored for the winter. As I am not a boot designer I don't know how to tell you how to fix the rubber/leather separation. Maybe better grommets and the tab for pulling the boot up should have been extended to the top of the boot. Bottom line: would I recommend this boot? NO Would I recommend Sorel? Not sure, unfortunately they are not widely available in my area so trying them on to check fix and function at purchase is troublesome.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rubber on boot has developed huge cracks I bought a pair of Sorel Mens Conquest NM1049-265 boots a few years ago. I have used them occasionally. I loved them until this morning when the rubber portions next to the leather broke completely through on 1 boot but not the other. There is now a huge crack across the toes and another set of cracks across the back of the heel. The rubber for the other boot in the pair is still pliable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from boot has it all comfort warmth i wear this boot for work and i am impressed with how they withstand the different environments i encounter...mud,water,rock,salt ect they keep my feet warm and dry!!! would recommend this boot to anybody who encounters any type of weather or conditions.........thank you

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Huge design flaw Loved these boots! Warm, comfortable for hiking in deep snow. Then, after only four months of use (in an Alaskan winter), I can't wear them any more. Where the rubber 'lowers' meet the leather uppers in the heel region there is a rubber ridge. The only covering of this ridge inside the boot is a thin layer of foam, and then the inner liner. In only four months, this foam and liner had been rubbed to nothing and torn, and now I'm getting a huge blister on my heel and my socks are being worn to shreds in the heel. How much foresight does it take for a boot designer to see this coming? A strip of leather inside this rubber/upper join would have solved this. These boots were expensive, and I did love them. Not sure if a cobbler can fix this, but I'll try. Sigh.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from horrible materials I picked up a pair of these boots while in Montana, and I loved them. They kept my feet dry and warm. I live in California again, and we've been in a drought for several years, and I really haven't had the need to wear these boots for a few years, but the rain has finally come, I pulled the boots from my closet today and put them on, but the rubber on the boots has turned into the worst garbage imaginable. It split all the way across the side, and I don't mean it cracked, it SPLIT OPEN WIDE. I then pressed my thumb against another section and my thumb broke through the rubber. These boots were not cheap, and I doubt I got to wear them any more than 20 times. I'm very disappointed, and do not recommend them at all.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great look and feel poor construction I loved the fact that these boots went on with ease and fit under jeans relatively easy, but after a year and maybe twenty times wearing them; the leather came apart from the rubber letting snow and or water run freely into boot. I hate to say it but I had to go back to an old old pair of Danners that I had for the remainder of this winter. I was hoping these Sorels would give me the same use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rubber cracked and split open after 3 years I love the way these boots feel. They slip on and off easily and my feet never got cold, even on the coldest days. Unfortunately the manufacturing and material quality is VERY poor on my pair of boots. Within one month after purchase the stitching around the top (which is light and loose to begin with) began to break and fall out. I had it repaired under warranty, but was never convinced this was a good design. I always had to treat the top with such care so as not to pull out the stitching again. This winter (3rd after purchase), as I went out for my first walk of the season, the rubber cracked and slit open on both sides of one boot, right where it flexes. This has been getting progressively worse and now I have gapping holes in my "water proof" boots - what a disappointment! I had my previous boots (not Sorels) for over 25 years. These lasted only 3! I was told that Sorels were the way to go for warmth and quality. Well, this has certainly put a bad taste in my mouth. I think I'm going to try a different company for my next pair.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rubber cracks These boots fall apart with little to no use. Not a product I would expect from such a well known and established company.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dissapointed in a bran I trusted These boots were perfect out of the box. Comfortable warm & dry, they appeared to be a great replacement for my tried and true old tired sorel snow boots (10 winters). Too bad these new boots don't even come close to the quality of material use in my old boots. If they cant make this right and 1 year warranty is in stone I will not be spending my hard earned $ on this brand again! $150.00 is too steep a price to pay for the 10 days I wore these boots in one year. Stand behind your product or don't sell it!! SAD TO BE.. Dissapointed in Portland. OR.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sadly I have the same story, came apart!!! I don't use these boots often and thus they are in great shape but we got some snow and I took them out for some active use and the rubber is coming apart from the leather...not small easy to fix issue but huge hole and no way there is a fix or easy fix for it. Again I am not a heavy user and they have seen less than 2 miles of use since I bought them. Can't believe there is no warranty for such a crazy defect. I won't buy Sorel again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sorely Conquest Boots Just like all the other reviews, the rubber on my boots have cracked and the whole upper boots is coming apart from the shoe part of the boot. This was the second pair I bot and I cannot believe that Sorel's Warranty is for only 1 Year. VERY DISAPPOINTING!
Date published: 2017-01-09
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Materials separate As others have said, the uppers separate from the loers. Very disappointing. Boots are only 2 years old and done for. Maybe that's why they only carry a one year warranty. Loved them while they lasted, but will not be buying again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cracked - Known Issue After a couple winters these boots are completely cracked and worthless. Do not buy!!!!!
Date published: 2016-12-17
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poor Quality The boots started out fine but go to put them on for the second winter and the rubber sole on the side has cracked and broken through. For how much you pay for them the should fix or replace so I will be going to LLBean for my lifetime replacement pair!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boot! I have2 pairs of these. One I ordered a half size larger so I can wear heavy socks. These are both now over 5 years old and have survived several winters with flying colors. These are also my go to hunting boots and I have taken them on some tough hunts out west. No wet feet. Warm. No issues. Absolutely great traction! Not sure why all the bad press. Doug

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fell apart! Start with I really liked these boots great fit, comfort and warmth UNTIL- after 23 months from purchase BOTH boots separated from sole and upper! Of course warranty is 12 months! I want another pair but just cant with good conscience go out and spend $150 if problem has not been addressed/resolved. Read and heed the reviews!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Materials In Construction!! For the first 1 year these boots were great!!!But on the second year the upper leather completely separated from the lower plastic/rubber. I only used these boots four or five times!! Unless you like to throw money away and need a good boot for only a year....these are great!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from awesome looking horrible quality if someone is reading this to get an idea if they should buy this boot, don't! Like everyone has said previously, the leather pulls apart from the rubber. I've only owned my pair for 2 seasons about 8 times or less only to shovel my tinny drive way and they fell apart. Don't be like me and ignore the reviews just because it looks so well made and though because the the tread used is defective

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality Had these boots for only two seasons and the seam/ rubber is ripped, yet beyond the warranty. Had other Sorels for well of 20 years, I guess quality is not what it used to be.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not a very good boot! I work in a freezer storage unit that is -12 all the time and this boot is suppose to be rated at -40, but my feet still get cold. Also, if someone is reading this to get an idea if they should buy this boot, dont! Like everyone has said previously, the leather pulls apart from the rubber. I've only owned my pair for 2 months and never have taken them out in the snow, only to work and they fell apart. Don't be like me and ignore the reviews just because you really want them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Snow Boot The conquest is not a big clunky snow boot and yet a very warm boot.
Date published: 2016-02-02
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fell apart Bought these boots a couple of years ago and loved them for the little it snows a deep amount in NYC. If I wear them twice a year that is a stretch. This year during the blizzard I wore them and they completely broke apart. I had to have someone go to the store to buy me a new pair of shoes to wear home. They do keep your foot dry and warm but they are obviously not durable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Jonas brought out the bad in Conquest As I hoping by reading all the negative reviews and that they have all the same common theme of the top separating from the bottom that Sorel will stand behind their product which I have used since my first pair of Sorels and my ice fishing equipment in the same Christmas so many years ago. I like everyone else took out my Conquest during Jonas to take battle with the snow. To my amazement when coming in from the snow, I noticed that the tops of my boots had completely separated from the bottoms but my feet were still dry. But the boots are now are no longer able to be used. This is something that I could see happening to some "knock-off" brand of boots which one only pays $20.00 bucks for. But these are Sorels and purchasing them at my local Gander Mnt. was not CHEAP! So I'm hoping like so many other reviews that Sorel will step up to plate and make it correct for all of the people that are having the same problem with this boot. One person having this problem; call it bad luck. Countless bad reviews as Tom Hanks would say "Houston we have a PROBLEM!" So I'm hoping for a happy ending for a life long customer. For the time being I can not recommend this boot, but if Sorel stands behind their products I will gladly change my recommendation to a "YES." Love the product but the design is troubling.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Comfortable while they lasted! These boots are great looking, many compliments. Had them for 3 years, wearing them maybe 20 times per year. The upper leather completely seperated from the lower plastic/rubber. The top of the toe area on one of the boots cracked right down the center. And believe me, I wasn't doing much more than walking in these boots. I can't imagine how long they would have lasted if I put them through any more than that, a year maybe.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful product With a name like Sorel I thought they produced quality boots. Boy was I wrong. This is the second season for them. I used them apprx. 4 or 5 times last year and when I went to put them on this year the top split off the bottom. Very happy that I have a pair of Uggs as well. I would not recommend these to anyone.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't Buy This Boot I grew up on Sorels. Always long lasting and solid boots. I've now had two pairs of these Conquest's. Both had seems split between the rubber and leather. Neither made it through more than a season. In going through the reviews, on their site, for this products, there are many similar problems. Also, the cinch buckle on both pairs never worked so fit was always sloppy. Too bad as they were true to size and perfectly matched to our New England winters. I'm very disappointed and will not buy another pir of their boots.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Quality! I wore these great LOOKING boots out in Jonas this weekend only to find that they are COMPLETELY falling apart, exactly how numerous other reviewers have experienced. I have only worn these about twenty times in the past year, and the rubber is cracked and chunking off of the boot completely at the flex point (read: there are large HOLES in the boot). Even worse, the stitched upper is COMPLETELY separating from the rubber bottom. I have owned many Sorels throughout my life growing up in the upper Midwest and always loved them, but this boot is simply junk and completely unacceptable. It truly has made me rethink the brand.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good looking boot/poor construction I've had my Sorel Conquest boots for approximately 5 years, however, in northern Calif we've been in a severe drought for the previous 4 years with very little rain or snow. During the drought, I only wore my boots 4 or 5 total times. This year we've had more normal weather conditions, so I wanted to use these boots to keep my feet dry and warm. When I actually began to wear them regularly, the seam on the left boot split open at the start of the third day. This was very disappointing to say the least. After my experience and upon reading other reviews on this boot, i will not recommend this product to anyone and have some reservations toward any Sorel product since they've continued to market this boot even though almost 40% of them (based on the reviews) failed within a couple of weeks of actual use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stay away!! The boots looked and felt awesome in the store. They seemed to fit a little snug, and purchasing 1/2 size larger than I usually wear gave me the fit I needed. That's where my satisfaction began to decline. Got most of the season out of them, then the basically fell apart. The top part of the boot detached at the seam from the bottom. I figured it was just me, but when I was talking about it to a friend, his wife laughed at me and said... Oh, like this? And pulled out his boots that did the exact same thing. Now I read the feedback.... I would have expected it from generics, but from a company like sorel!? The name is now something for me to avoid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wasn't sure.... My first pair of Sorel boots was 15 years ago with a pair I bought in a store. The laces broke the plastic eyelets and destroyed the boot (never needed new laces, EVER!). With no Sorel retailer in my town, I had to order my next pair over the internet. They were too tight, and I later suffered a car accident and a broken foot so no boot has ever fit correctly or I couldn't get my foot in them. Having to order on-line again, without trying them on, I didn't know what to expect. I read the reviews about shoddy workmanship and material, but ordered them anyway. Well, they arrived. I was able to put them on, even with my broken foot, a size 10.5, my size (I didn't have to size up). I wore them around the house for a couple days to see if my foot would feel okay in them (my foot is deformed). They feel great!! I then took them out on one of the coldest days of the year in Omaha, a high of 1 with a -19 wind chill, and a slushy snow, with thin cotton socks on and my feet were HOT! I was able to walk about 2 miles and my broken foot did not hurt!! Only time will tell if they will hold up under strenuous or harsher conditions, but so far, in the 3 days I've worn them, they are the most comfortable, and warm, winter hiking boot I've ever owned!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Only last a few times Went to wear my Sorels to the snow today, to my dismay after wearing them for about 15 minutes they felt loose when I looked at them the rubber began separating at the sew seam away from the rubber material and cracking, I have only worn these a few times as I do not get to the snow that often, I am truly bummed as I loved these boots and they still look in great shape, not sure if they can be repaired, but I am totally bummed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Boot came apart after 10 uses I'm disappointed to see the boots come apart after using them about 10 times. The seam between the tan top half and the black bottom half separated. And with only a one year warranty on footwear, I'm stuck having to buy another pair of boots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best boots I have ever had! I bought these boots in January 2015, because I worked as a Security Officer at Okemo Mtn in Vermont, and my regular boots kept literally freezing, which means my feet would freeze. I purchased these, and I have never purchased any footwear that costs more than $50, but I am glad I did. These boots are super rugged, even with my 6' 6" 300 lb self! Great traction, and so far, on the 2nd winter, still able to keep my feet nice and toasty! They are extremely well built boots. I would recommend them to anyone!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Two Pairs, Two Leakers Bought a pair and after one time in the snow the left toe box area developed a leak. Returned pair one. Exchanged them for pair number two. After one day in those both boots were damp in the toe box area. Big bummer as they were a warm and comfy boot. On to the Caribou boot.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Why is this boot rated so high? The boot is GREAT unless you plan on using them more then a few times. The rubber falls apart. It cracks like it is some vintage 60 year old piece of rubber. how does quality like this make it to market. Do not buy these boots!! Read the pile of reviews and look at the photos people have posted. They are junk. And it is totally shocking that they still sell this product!! Please stop buying it!!! Sorel, put together enough moral fiber and do the right thing. Either make a product that last more then a few seasons or stop selling boots.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Boots! I've had these boots for around 7 years. I love them to death. I've used them every winter, and only today did the rubber top crack and separate from the leather upper. I'm sad that they didn't last longer, but they've lasted quite a long time. They're comfortable, I've never gotten a blister from wearing them, and they're worth it. My only complaint is about the rubber cracking and separating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Legit I acquired these boots & needed serious proof that they would be worth wearing as i asked for a different pair for christmas. I couldn't be happier I got the Conquest, I live at 9000ft in the Rockies, very rough on all outer wear. These boots have been nothing but solid, reliable, comfortable and all around great. I don't know if the other reviews got a batch that was sealed improperly or what have you, but I love mine, i suggest them to anyone who does a lot of trekking, makes my feet feel safe, cheers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very short life span I liked them ok for the first 45 days. After that, the sole started to separate from the boot, allowing snow melt to seep in and make my feet miserably cold. Fall apart junk, what I would expect from a Walmart boot. Thankfully the store I bought from doesn't play around, gave me full credit towards a better pair that did last out the winter for me. Better step up your game Sorel, your well earned reputation for quality won't last long if you don't. This type of product will lose you lifelong customers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Upper Seperated from sole with litte use I bought these in February 2014 to have a pair of boots on hand for cold and snow. Took them out of the box this winter and on the second wear the upper separated from the sole on one of them from the instep all the way around the heel to the other instep. No warranty, so these boots have proved worthless.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fell apart at the seams First let me say that I absolutely LOVE Sorels! I just have an issue with one of my fave pairs, in the Conquest series. While traversing through NYC a typical commute, running up and down stairs, from platform to platform, I notice my boots were beginning to fall apart in the heel area near the molding and upper leather seams. I didn't think I was going to make it home without the sole completely tearing apart from the rest of the boot. I was mortified as I sat on the train trying to conceal my predicament and how I would tie bags around my boots should they completely come apart! Anyway, it seems as though the rubber degraded in such a way that that tore apart from the upper seam. The rest of the boot, as you can see from the photos - soles, leather and fabric upper, and gaiters are in otherwise great condition, as I am quite meticulous in taking care of my footwear. I've only worn them during the worst of winter conditions, maybe 3 dozen times, as I feel these boots were made to endure such. I am heartbroken over this since these were one of three favorite pairs Sorels. Please reply if you have rectified the issue as I have read other reviews stating the same problem. I am strongly considering replacing these for the same model BUT only if I don't have to worry about them falling apart whilst traipsing through the brutal streets of NYC. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration in this matter. With regards, BklynJuls

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Conquest Do not buy this boot! Do not buy the special spray to make them last longer! Do yourself a favor and buy cheap boots and just replace them more often. *Very Disappointed!*

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Seams are Weak or Poorly Placed i've now had to send back two pairs of these boots. within two months of receiving each pair, the stitched seam between the rubber lower and leather upper split. which bodes poorly for me, since i am outdoors and busy much of the winter in a northern climate and really require sturdy boots that keep snow and water out. these no longer do after that split. it seems the plastic lip that they stitch onto doesn't extend far enough or isn't thick enough. i also had a lace holder (those little metal triangle rings) pop off one for no reason, and the lining along the back of the heel degrade incredibly fast, despite NEVER sliding my foot into the boots carelessly. aside from those problems, these are beautiful boots that do keep my feet reasonably warm in extreme cold. i wouldn't call them -40 boots personally, though (even with wool socks). they are comfortable to wear and give good grip on rough terrain and ice. i appreciate sorel's willingness to switch these boots out - and hope this time i can get ones with better seam placement that won't have the same issue.
